This
is a requirement placed on us by State/Local regulatory agencies. As such, we are
subject to violations from those agencies when we allow customers to dump at the
working face without the required PPE.
Since some of your staff dump at the working face of the landfill, please remind them of
this requirement. Failure to follow this requirement, may result in your company not
being allowed to use County owned solid waste disposal sites.
While the need for this letter was driven by the concerns we had with your employee
known to us a Steve, the use of PPE while dumping at the working face of the landfill
applies to all customers and not just your company.
Lastly, please remind all your drivers who use County disposal sites to please follow all
instructions given to them by site personnel, in particular, to follow the instructions as to
where they should dump their loads. At times, the loads delivered by your company
contain recyclable materials and these loads are better handled inside our Recycling
Center instead of at the working face of the landfill.
Thank you for doing business with us. We appreciate it.
