All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR' pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool enclosure gates lack "Keep Closed" signage. Post "Keep Closed" signage by 1 week. <br />The front entrance gate lacks the diarrhea notice signage (screws are present where the sign was removed). Provide a <br />diarrhea notice sign for the front entrance gate by 1 week. <br />The emergency sign lacks the facility location address. Write in the facility location address on the signage today. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: One of the life hooks is on the ground. Hang the life hook on the fence so it is easily accessible in case <br />of an emergency. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed -length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17 -inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: Four of the pool lights are burned out. Replace burned out lights by 2 weeks. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4 -inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark.
