HAZARDOUS MATERIALS EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN <br /> <br />GENERAL INFORMATION <br />Business Name: Nation’s Giant Hamburgers <br />Location: 3574 N Tracy Blvd, Tracy, CA 95376 <br />Tel: 209-835-8772 <br /> <br />Hazardous Material On-Site: Carbon Dioxide <br />CAS Number: 124-38-9 <br />Hazard Classification: Gases Under Pressure – Liquefied Gas <br />Location: CO2 tanks are located in exterior access closet at south end of building (see map) <br /> <br />Supplier: NUCO2 <br />Tel: 800-472-2855 <br /> <br />WARNING! Pressurized cylinders; may explode if heated <br /> <br />STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY (EARTHQUAKE OR FIRE): <br />1. Evacuate all personnel to evacuation staging area (northwest corner of parking lot) <br />2. Confirm all personnel is present and accounted for <br />3. Call 911 <br /> <br />STEPS TO BE TAKEN IF MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: <br />1. Evacuate all personnel to evacuation staging area (southeast corner of parking lot) <br />2. Confirm all personnel is present and accounted for <br />3. Call Nation’s Facilities Department: 510-237-1952 <br />4. Follow first aid measures (see below) if necessary <br />5. Shut off cylinder if you can do so without risk <br />6. Ventilate area or move cylinder to well-ventilated area <br /> <br />FIRST AID MEASURES <br />1. INHALATION: Immediately remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial <br />respiration. If breathing is difficult, qualified personnel may give oxygen. Call a <br />physician. <br />2. SKIN CONTACT: For exposure to cold vapor, immediately warm frostbite area with warm <br />water not to exceed 105°F. Call a physician. <br />3. EYE CONTACT: For exposure to cold vapor, immediately flush eyes thoroughly with <br />warm water for at least 15 minutes. Hold the eyelids open and away from the eyeballs <br />to ensure that all surfaces are flushed thoroughly. See a physician, preferably an <br />ophthalmologist, immediately. <br /> <br />
