All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #1 Pool Gates MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Gate is not self latching. Latch shall be repaired before pool re-opens to customers. Call dept for a <br /> re-inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br /> Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br /> except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br /> maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Gate lacks"KEEP GATE CLOSED"and "diarrhea"sign. Provide before pool opens to guest. <br /> Main sign lacks capacity, hours, site address, and phone number of nearest hospital. Write information before pool opens to <br /> guest. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31206) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br /> OBSERVATIONS:A life ring with rope shall be at pool area before it reopens to customers. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible,and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Both skimmers lacks weirs and check valves. Provide parts, immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br /> maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
