Safety Kleen was unsure if the small amount of available
shavings in the area would be enough for the laboratory. Attached is the analytical report from Safety Kleen. This small
amount will be disposed of as a hazardous waste as the chromium is slightly over the threshold. Let me know if you need
anything else.

Alex Fontana
Environmental Compliance Officer
Modesto Irrigation District
Desk: 209-526-7321
Cell: 209-402-0141
Email: alexandria.fontana@mid.org

From: Alexandria Fontana
Sent: Friday, June 11, 2021 9:00 AM
To: 'Alaniz, John [EHD]' <jalaniz1@sjgov.org>
Cc: Cassandra Gamez <Cassandra.Gamez@mid.org>
Subject: RE: HW Inspection

Good morning John,

Just an update on the violation regarding waste metal shavings at Ripon Generation.

The day after the inspection MID had Safety-Kleen come onsite to Ripon Generation Station and take a sample of the
waste metal shavings.
