Soil Vapor Assessment Work Plan Page 9
CPSA,Lodi,California
January 11,2023
The PSG samplers will be left in place for a period of 14 days, after which they will be retrieved
using the protocol recommended by Beacon, and the sampling holes patched with asphalt as
appropriate. Following retrieval of the PSG samples from the sampling locations, the samples will
be transported under Chain-of-Custody(COC) documentation to Beacon's laboratory. Each COC
will include the sample ID, date and time of emplacement and retrieval (to nearest minute), type
of surfacing and approximate thickness, and other relevant information (e.g., surfacing material,
proximity to potential source areas). All samples will be analyzed using thermal desorption-gas
chromatography/mass spectrometry (TD-GC/MS) instrumentation following U.S. EPA Method
8260C, with laboratory results provided in micrograms per cubic meter(µg/m3).
The methodology and protocol for performing `Passive Soil Gas Investigations'using the Beacon
BeSure Sample Collection Kits'is provided in Attachment C.
SCHEDULE AND REPORT PREPARATION
CHT and the City request the Water Board's concurrence with our Work Plan to perform the SVA
activities at the proposed locations at your earliest convenience. SVA activities will be conducted
within three (3) weeks of receipt of the location access letters. Laboratory sample results should
be available within a week following sample submission.
A letter report documenting the SVA activities, a summary of the results, and conclusions and
recommendations for future work will be prepared and submitted to the Water Board within six
(6)weeks of receipt of the laboratory analysis. A copy of the report and associated laboratory and
borehole information will be uploaded to GeoTracker.
Please do not hesitate to contact Varinder Oberoi at (415)424-3009 with any questions regarding
this Work Plan.
Sincerely,
CIVIL FiyDIRC TECH
Varinder Oberoi, PE C69037
Principal Hydrologist
649 DISTEL DRIVE,LOS ALTOS,CA 94022 TEL:415-424-3009
