MAT. USE NEAR SCHOOLS <br />No applications of Restricted Materials shall be made by air or ground within 1320 feet of a school in session or when a school <br />sponsored event is in progress. If the pesticide label or regulation requires a larger buffer area, the larger buffer shall apply. <br />There will be no waiver of the required 24 hour Notice of Intent. <br />These conditions do not apply to the following ground applications: <br />1.Vertebrate pest control <br />2.Back-pack applications <br />3.Equipment where all nozzles are pointing down AND wind direction is periodically measured as moving away from the school <br />site <br />4.Other CAC approved methods <br />NOTE: The uses of soil fumigants and their corresponding buffer zones are covered by DPR suggested permit conditions or <br />by label. <br />D Chlorpyrifos <br />D Chlorpyrifos <br />To help minimize bystander exposure and offsite movement of chlorpyrifos during applications and reduce runoff after <br />applications. These conditions apply to products containing chlorpyrifos labeled for the production of an agricultural <br />commodity. <br />1.Use the following minimum application setback distances for applications adjacent to sensitive sites as defined by the label <br />or designated by the Commissioner: <br />Application Method Minimum Setback Distance (ft) <br />Ground Boom 25 <br />Chemigation 25 <br />Airblast 50 <br />Aerial (Fixed wing or rotary) 150 <br />The setback distance extends in all directions from the edge of the sensitive site to the edge of the treatment area. Setbacks <br />are in effect only during the application. <br />Do not apply this product if anyone is in the setback area. Exception: Handlers, and vehicles and persons riding bicycles <br />passing through the setback area on public or private roadways are permitted. <br />2.All applications must take place with a minimum wind speed of 3 mph and not more than 10 rnph as measured at a height of <br />four feet above the ground. <br />
