Because of the percolation rate between 5.0 and 30.0 min/in encountered in test hole <br />PA, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department will require an 8-foot <br />separation from the bottom of the dispersal system to ground water at that location, <br />unless mitigated by system design or enhancement. Because of the percolation rate <br />between 1.0 and 5.0 min/in encountered in test hole PB, the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department will require a 20-foot separation from the bottom of <br />the dispersal system to ground water at that location, unless mitigated by system design <br />or enhancement. Ground water was encountered at 5.97 feet below ground surface <br />near test hole PB. <br />Discussion of Septic System Sizing <br />Septic system construction utilizing leach lines or filter beds should follow the San <br />Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems Standards (2017) where <br />applicable.
