... <br />Inspection Team Meeting <br />Perimeter Migration Monitoring Well Installation Project <br />9:00-10:00 AM Wednesday May 27, 2009 <br />Conference Room A, Public Works Building <br />Attendees <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br />San Joaquin County Public Works Field Division <br />San Joaquin County Public Solid Waste Division <br />Vector Engineering <br />Areas of Inspection and Verification <br />Field Division (Jorgensen and other Field Division staff) <br />o Ensures compliance with contract <br />o Primary contact with Contractor except as delegated to others <br />o Verifies that inspection is occurring by inspection team members <br />o Prepares Change Orders if needed <br />o Other County contract requirements <br />• EHD <br />o Inspects construction of well from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each working day <br />Vector <br />o Log soil during drilling of hole <br />o Prepares draft soil log presented to EHD staff upon request <br />o Notifies design engineer (Chandra) and RE (Jorgensen) if location of bentonite seal <br />would block sand or other permeable lens <br />o Documents any change directed by County in construction in response to sand <br />lenses <br />o Documents construction of well <br />o Prepares completion report (submitted to Solid Waste) <br />Solid Waste <br />o (Chandra) Directs and document changes in well construction if needed to avoid <br />blocking sand lens, notifies EHD and Field of this change <br />o (Chandra) Answers technical questions as directed by Field (Jorgensen) <br />o (Batterson) Inspects installation of fencing, well enclosures, bollards, reports <br />deficiencies to Jorgensen after confirming deficiency w/ Chandra <br />o (Chandra) Drafts engineering changes if the need arises <br />o Chandra/Batterson/Vector) Verifies payment requests from LFG Control <br />o (Chandra/Carroll) Reviews completion report, transmits to California Waste Board <br />Other Items <br />• Contractual requirement that each Contractor crew must have full set of Plans and Specs <br />
