Here is what I suggest based on my review of the submittal: 1. LFG monitoring probes should be installed to the depth of fill at closure; however, the operator needs to make sure that the existing depth of fill will be monitored. 2. The typical monitoring well included with the submittal (sheet 3 of 7) does not appear to show the adequate 5 feet of bentonite seal above the screened section of shallow probe. 3. Screen depth for each probe within a well must be tabulated on the well schedule for each landfill. I suggest the operator to provide the LEA and CIWMB with adequate time prior to start of such activities in the field so that we could be present during the drilling activities and the installation of the probes.
