The following are the proposed changes that fall under NCRCSL's Joint
Technical Document and Solid Waste permit:
1. Revised operating hours at NCRCSL
Solid Waste Division has elected to operate NCRCSL with revised operating hours. The
proposed revised operating hours for NCRCSL will be seven days per week from
7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The revised hours are within the official permitted hours. Solid
Waste is not changing the permitted hours.
2. Designated locations for carpet, cardboard, and mattress recycling
To improve diversion, NCRCSL will begin recycling carpet, cardboard, and mattresses.
The designated recycling area will be at the east side of the Materials Recycling Facility.
Site staff will monitor for prohibited and hazardous waste during unloading. Disposed
carpet and mattresses will be loaded in fully enclosed and covered trailers with locking
doors. Cardboards will be disposed in a bin covered with tarps. All recyclable materials
will be hauled to appropriate recyclers once the trailers or bins are full.
If you have any questions, please call Joyesh Chandra, Engineer II at (209) 468-3066.
Sincerely,
4. 6t".
TAJ M.
