CalRecycle
Disposal Facility Inspection Report (52)
County of San Joaquin
39 -AA -0022 1 7/25/2012 1 LEA Periodic
North County Landfill
17900 East Harney Lane, Victor
95240
Natalia Subbotnikova
County Of San Joaquin Public Works De
THE ABOVE FACILITY WAS INSPECTED FOR COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE SECTIONS OF THE DIVISION 30 OF THE PUBLIC RESOURCES CODE (PRC) AND TITLE td AND TITLE 27 CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS (CCR)
20750 - Site Maintenance
Comments: The areas between wells SG -8 and SG -17 and between wells SG -13 and SG -12 were covered with
overgrown vegetation and were hardly accessible for inspection. This issue has been an ongoing problem.
a. Make all wells easily accessible for inspection.
b. Operator should maintain the vegetation at a minimum so that site inspection could easily be conducted and to
prevent surface fires from taking place which could cause a threat to public health and safety and the
environment.
X 20870 - Hazardous Wastes
Comments: Observed treated wood waste at the green waste area not being moved to the designated area.
a. Need to more thoroughly check for and remove all designated/hazardous wastes in waste piles.
b. Provide additional training to raise level of screening for hazardous wastes in the loads/piles.
Notes:
A. Measured perimeter soil gas wells for methane concentration: SG -13=0% (all three probes), SG 12=0% (all three
probes).
B. Some daylighting observed at the active face. Provide adequate cover.
C. For better management practice prepare active face by pulling up tarps before letting trucks to unload at the active
D. Records maintained and up to date.
E. Previous AC's cleared.
