Observed treated wood waste in the pile at the transfer station. Facility personnel were not screening <br /> for hazardous wastes in waste loads/piles. <br /> a. Provide more adequate load checking. <br /> b.Provide communication with tipping floor personnel through meetings and training to raise level of screening of <br /> designated/hazardous wastes. <br /> Notes: <br /> A. Dust level were low at time of inspection. Misters and fire hose being used throughout inspection. <br /> B.Low waste pile volume observed at time of inspection. Waste piles heights on tipping floor were below 12 <br /> feet in height. <br /> C. Compactor was not in use at time of inspection.
