SAN_JOAQUIN <br />---COUNTY <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: 1130 am <br />Time Out: 12:30 Pm <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />Name of Facility: CABRILLO GARDENS APARTMENTS <br />Date: 06/13/2018 <br />Address: 225 E GRANT LINE RD, TRACY 95376 <br />Owner/Operator: KAITZ PROPERTY SERVICE <br />Telephone: <br />Program Element: 3611 -PUBLIC POOL/SPA- PRIMARY <br />Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION- Operating Permit <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Location address faded. Print clearly location address. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operatorshall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Gaps in the decking. Seal gaps within one month. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4 -foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Loose hand rail at shallow pool entrance. Tighten loose handrail. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handraits shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Low level of free chlorine. Provide acceptable range between 2ppm and 10ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations., 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.
