All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine at 2.Oppm. Maintain between 3-10ppm. Corrected to 7.8ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools; when open orin use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH, Level;_. MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH level at greater than 8.0. Maintain pH between 7.2-7.8. Corrected to above 7.7. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Gaps between cement decking around spa (see the water). Seal gaps in 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4 -foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: Spa's light is not functioning. Provide in 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4 -inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK "and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dads. (3115B) <br />#11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Combined chlorine at 1.2ppm. Maintain combined chlorine at less than 0.4ppm. Correct in 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin.
