Manage the waste according to Title 22 California <br /> Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> 1.A 55-gallon drum of oily used absorbent and paper filters located in the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> 2.An approximate 5-gallon jug of used oil located in the hazardous waste storage area. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste.
