The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br />addressed for A L POWELL TRUCKING as of December 13, 2021. <br />Open violations from October 04, 2021 inspection <br />Violation #608 - Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters. <br />OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br />on-site. The following used metal oil or fuel filter containers were on-site: <br />- One rusty and one blue 55 gallon drums of drained used oil filter were observed on the side of the shop opened <br />and unlabeled. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br />Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. <br />California Health & Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid, store them in closed, <br />rainproof containers. Label the container with the words "drained used oil filters" or "used gasoline filters", <br />depending on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored <br />on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are <br />regulated as hazardous waste.
