MOUNTAIN HOUSE MASTER PLAN <br />Politfes; in addition to other Standards in the County bevelopment Title, home <br />occupations shall adhere to the fallowing; <br />a} Home occupations shall twe conducted Indoors, within the residence or <br />accessory structure of the principal practitioner. <br />b) Up to 400 square feet, or no more then ora third of any residence, inducing <br />a second unit dwelling shall be used for the home occupation. <br />o) No changes may be mado to alter the residential character of the building. <br />d) Any nommercial vehicle shall be parked within the garage or carport of the <br />raslden ce. <br />ej Work that produces Pulse, vibration, glare, fumes, odors, dust, or eleatriul <br />interference is prohibited. <br />3.3A $econd unit Dwellings <br />Objective, To encourage second unit dwellings in order to Increase the diversity <br />and affordability of housing opportunities for residents (see Section 3.9.3 <br />Affordable Housing Program.) <br />Policies <br />a) Design of second unit dwellings shall reinforce the character of the <br />neighborhoods targeted to Include second units. Architectural treatments, <br />scale and massing of seoand units shall be in keeping with the primary <br />residence, and surrounding buildings. <br />b) For each residential subdivision within the R -VL. R -L and R -M zdtiing <br />districts, and for residential projects consisting of single family dwaliings in <br />the R -MH zoning district- second unit dwellings shall be required on at least <br />5.5 % of the parcels, unless the required units are provided elsewhere <br />withln the neighborhood. these unRs shall net be located in a single <br />Incation in the nelghbodiood. but rather located [hroucihout the same <br />nelwhbarhnud. <br />Implementation <br />a) Tentative Mage, Tentative Map -appiica#ions for Very Low Density <br />Residential, Low Density Residential. and Medium Density Residential, <br />zones shall identify the parcels of lots designated for second unit dwellings <br />an nn attached second unit plan.
