During the dry season (May -October), provide equipment and staring for <br />,r watering all exposed or disturbed soil surfaces at least twice daily, including <br />weekends and holidays. An appropriate dust palliative or suppressant, added to <br />water before application, should be utifzecL <br />Require periodic Gean up of mud and dirt carried onto paved roads from the site. <br />(2) POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT: ODORS <br />As part of the facility operation, a number of potential odor sources are present <br />The solid waste itself is an obvious potential odor source. The unloading areas, <br />equipment that comes in contact with waste, collection vehicles, and landfill <br />transfer trailers are also potential odor sources. <br />Findings <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project <br />which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect as <br />identified in the Final ER <br />Statement of Fact: <br />The impact will be reduced by the following: <br />The proposed transfer operation shall be enclosed in a building to reduce <br />exposure of waste to the atnosphere. <br />The tipping floor shall be regularty swept with a mechanical sweeper. <br />Transfer tracks and rolloff boxes shall be leaned periodically in the wash station. <br />Odor complaints shall be referred to the San Joaquin Valley Un�j <br />ed Air Pollution <br />Control District for processing under Rule 4107. <br />F.
