AdvancedGeo
An Employee-Owned Company
01 November 2021
Project No. 21-6435
Mr. Jeff Wong
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Ave, Stockton, CA 95205
Email: jwong(aslgov.org
Subject: Addendum to Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Study
FENG PROPERTY
26201 Thornton Road, Thornton, California
Dear Mr. Wong:
AdvancedGeo, Inc. (AGI) has prepared this Addendum to Soil Suitability and Nitrate
Loading Study for the property located at 26201 Thornton Road, Thornton, California (site
or subject property). This Addendum was prepared to provide a revised nitrogen loading
rate as requested in San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) letter
dated 29 October 2021.
The property is currently being used for commercial and residential purposes. The
property is developed with a total of five buildings. The current large commercial building
was erected on the property prior to the early 1990s. Prior use of the buildings consisted
of a 1 ,700 square feet restaurant space, 1,300 square feet bar space, 600 square feet
retail space, and three rented homes. The proposed use of the large commercial building
is for a research facility. The 600 square feet retail building is vacant, and the three
residential homes will be vacated and no longer used for residential purposes once the
research facility is operational.
The future site usage includes the addition of the research facility with a maximum of
six (6) full-time employees. The research facility will operate from 9,00am to 5:00pm
Monday through Friday, and the septic system will be utilized 260 days a year. The
reasonable or maximum usage of wastewater for the research facility is 20 gpd per person
or 120 gpd (6 employees).
The total nitrate-nitrogen (NO3_N) average concentrations in commercial waste is
85 mg/1-N.
The weighted average calculation for total nitrogen concentrations for onsite commercial
flow is proposed as the following:
837 Shaw Road • Stockton, CA 95215
Telephone (800) 511-9300 • Fax (888) 445-8786
