Administrative Draft Environmental Impact Report <br /> Gill Medical Center Project <br /> 4.4 AGRICULTURAL AND FORESTRY RESOURCES <br /> This section describes the environmental setting for agricultural and forestry resources, including the <br /> existing site conditions, regulatory setting, and potential impacts that would result from the proposed <br /> Project, and, if significant impacts are identified, the mitigation measures that would reduce these <br /> impacts. <br /> 4.4.1 Environmental Setting <br /> San Joaquin County occupies a central location in California's agricultural heartland, the San Joaquin <br /> Valley. The gross value for agricultural production in 2019 was $2,617,815,000, a 0.91% increase compared <br /> to 2018 (San Joaquin County 2020). Other site improvements include a dilapidated corral and cattle chute located near the mid- <br /> point of the southern site boundary and a former gas well converted to a water well in the approximate <br /> center of the property.
