Treatment, Storage and Discharge <br />Indirote the manner or treatment, storage and point of disehaFge of treated leachate. <br />Water collected in the retention pondssedimentation basin will either be evaporated, used <br />during the initial mixing of the compost, used for dust control, pumped to the on-site <br />leachate evaporation pond, or transported to a municipal treatment works depending on <br />the quality and quantity of collected water. Water used in the initial mixing of the compost <br />will bring the water content of the compost to proper levels. <br />f. Landfill Sites <br />For landfill sites, deseribe or show on the plot plan tho location of 6/;/FfOflt and past control <br />and monItoring fac/lit/es. <br />Forward does not plan to locate the Compost Facility on an existing or closed refuse fill area. <br />However. it should be noted that the facility is located on an area permitted for future WMUs <br />at the Forward Landfill. <br />2.1.8 Site Access <br />Provide a schematic dfawlng that displays aceess to the site, traffic ro&ting staelo'ng lanes, <br />loading and unloading areas, storage and process/Ag areas, par,4ing fJlm4s/ol7S for tfJms <br />aoross trafflc, gate locations, traffic fO&ting onsite, etc. <br />The entrance to the RRF/Compost Facility is all-weather surfaces. Onsite roads are <br />constructed, as needed. These onsite roads will be constructed with onsite soils, crushed <br />asphalt or aggregate, or both. The roads are maintained by site personnel. The first 120 <br />feet of the entrance road are paved. The area is swept. as needed.Since the roads a nd <br />entrance facility area are not paved, there is. Debris is picked up. the roads are graded <br />occasionally . and watered daily for dust control.thorough clea ning. In addition, litter is raked <br />or picked up by hand. In the event that G,d irt is inadvertently tracked onto Austin Road by <br />vehicles entering and leaving the site .. is cleaned up by FOF't'lard personnel the street <br />sweeper will be deployed . The site is graded to provide all-weather access. <br />Storage Areas. Extra equipment is stored in the equipment maintenance area and storage <br />yard at the landfill. Extra parts are stored in a trailer on the southwestern side of the RRF <br />building. <br />Parking Areas. Visitor and employee parking are on the east side of the RRF building as <br />shown on Figure 12+. <br />Access. Access to the site is from Austin Road, a rural two-lane, paved road and is shown +Q n <br />Figure 5+2. The access road to the RRF/Compost Facility is located about 1 ,600 feet south <br />of the landfill entrance road; south of the South Fork. There are no turning lanes for traffic <br />on Austin Road or stacking lanes within the site.
