Box 1528 <br />Stockton, CA 95204 <br />Mr. Nomellini <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division has received the Foothill Landfill 1993 <br />Annual Monitoring report and has found it to be adequate. The Foothill 1993/94 Winterization <br />Plan has also been reviewed and approved. This plan must be carried out as stated; any changes <br />must be approved by this office before work commences. <br />The proposal to dispose of sewage sludge at the landfill has been reviewed. Before approval of <br />this request further information will be necessary. <br />•� rrt� � � • r <br />Identify the sampling protocol to be used for determining that the sludge is non- <br />hazardous. <br />Submit a statement that the sludge will consist of no more than 50% liquid. <br />Rule 503 requirements must be addressed. <br />A new permit will be necessary since this will be a significant change in the current <br />operation. <br />A revised RDSI must be submitted addressing operation and maintenance of the sludge <br />land application.
