INFORMATION SHEET <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL INCORPORATED <br /> FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL FACILITY <br /> CLASS III LANDFILL <br /> Foothill Sanitary Landfill is in San Joaquin County on the east side of <br /> Waverly Road, approximately one mile south of Shelton Road. The facility <br /> covers approximately 800 acres. Currently, about 85 acres have been filled <br /> with waste. <br /> Foothill Sanitary Landfill is an existing Class III landfill . The property is <br /> owned by San Joaquin County and is operated by Foothill Sanitary Landfill <br /> Incorporated under Solid Waste Facilities Permit number 39-AA-004 issued by <br /> the San Joaquin Local Health District, and WDRs issued under Order No. 89-018. <br /> These revised WDRs replace Order No. 89-018. San Joaquin County, in a 12 <br /> November 1990 letter stated, the County is in legal possession and control of <br /> Foothill Sanitary Landfill pursuant to Orders of Possession issued by the <br /> Superior Court of the County of San Joaquin. The County presently possesses <br /> all indices of ownership subject only to the payment or deposit into court of <br /> just compensation and a final order of condemnation. <br /> The water table is at approximately 200 feet below the lowest planned <br /> excavation level of the site. The mean annual precipitation is about 12.5 <br /> inches. Soils under the site are clays, silts, and fine sands, and extend to <br /> depths of at least 100 feet. <br /> The land within 1000 feet of the site is used for agriculture. Ground and <br /> surface water in the area is used for municipal , agricultural , and industrial <br /> supply. <br /> JKT:RAEsmkk <br />
