Box 1528
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. lima.:
RE: Five Year Permit Review, Foothill Sanitary Landfill, Permit Number 39 -AA -0004
Solid waste facilities permits are required to be reviewed at least every five years
by local enforcement agencies. This letter constitutes notice, pursuant to Government
Code Section 66796.33(d) and Title 14, California Code of Regulations, Section
18213(a), that the permit issued to the above facility is in need of review. our
records indicate that this facility's most recent permit or permit review is dated
09/19/83.
An additional requirement for landfill owners and operators is to have a registered
civil engineer conduct a periodic site review (14 CCR 17751). This review is also
required at least every five years and should be completed and submitted with the
application for permit review to your local enforcement agency.
An application for permit review, including an updated Report of Disposal Site
Information and an engineering review, should be filed with the local enforcement
agency by November 1, 1988. Upon completion of its review, the local enforcement
agency will determine if a revision of the permit is required. If a revision is
necessary, you will be directed to subunit an application for permit revision. If a
revision is not necessary, the local enforcement agency will notify the Board and any
interested person of its decision and reasons therefor.
If you feel this notice is in error, please so state in a letter to the Permits Section
at the letterhead address by August 1, 1988. Please include the facility name and
number and the original date of permit issuance and most recent revision or review, and
a brief explanation of why a review of the permit is not required at this time.
If you have any questions about the periodic site review or permit review processes,
you should contact your local enforcement agency, the San Joaquin Cxcxinty Local Health
District.
Sincerely,
r
Georg a J:. cmc 1
Chief Executive Officer
GTE: DD: tk
cc: San Joaquin County Local Health District
