reasonably be required to remove this contaminant should it occur in drinking water.
The Maximum Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG) for DBCP is zero.
Soil Profile and Geologic Information
The Site is depicted on the Preliminary geologic map showing Quaternary deposits of
the Lodi quadrangle, California (Marchand and Atwater, 1979). The Site is depicted
within a map unit of the Riverbank formation middle unit, described as "arkosic alluvium
forming Mokelumne River terraces and alluvial fan; chiefly sand; probably glacial
outwash" (Plate 9).
The surface and near surface soils located at the Site are reported by the USDA Web
Soil Survey to be composed of San Joaquin -Urban land complex (Plate 10) (USDA,
2021). The table below presents some selected properties of this soil:
Table 1. The boring was
four inches in diameter, 2.84 feet deep, and was excavated by hand auger (Table 2).
Based on initial percolation rates observed in the shallow boring, Central Valley Septic
was retained to drill a second boring to a depth of 18.89 feet on October 21, 2021; this
boring was 12 inches in diameter and was completed with a Spiradrill LHD 50.
In addition to these borings, two borings were previously excavated on Parcel 2 of the
Site (then Parcel 4 of a four -parcel minor subdivision) in 2003. Those borings were 4 to
6 inches in diameter, 40 to 136 inches in depth (3.3 to 11.3 feet), and were drilled under
the supervision of Earnest Smith.
The locations of the borings are indicated on Plate 11.
The soils in the borings were similar to those described by the Soil Survey. In the
borings advanced by Live Oak and Central Valley, sandy silt was encountered to 1.5
LOGE 2150 Page 5
