Introduction
Our office has been retained by Olliix, LLC (Owner) to prepare a design report and to document the
design and operational parameters for the proposed changes to the sanitary sewer system for the
Michaels TI’s, formerly E&E Trading. In this report, we refer to the San Joaquin County Onsite
Wastewater Disposal Standards dated January 2017 (County Disposal Standards).

II. Average Daily Flow (ADF) – Peak Use
The Average Daily Flow was calculated as follows:
Assumptions:
1. 8 hours per shift
2. 3 shifts per day (300 first shift, 300 second shift, 100 third shift)
3. 1 restroom use every 2.172 hours per employee
4. 3.683 uses per shift per employee
5. 2 gallons per use for 60% of the uses as toilets and 1.25 gallons per use for 40% of the uses as
urinals

Assume 60% of uses are toilet uses and 40% of uses are urinal uses yielding

3.683 uses per shift per employee * 0.6 * 2.0 gal per toilet use = 4.42 gal per shift per employee
(4.42 gpd)

3.683 uses per shift per employee * 0.4* 1.75 gal per urinal use = 2.58 gal per shift per employee
(2.58 gpd)

4.42 gal per shift per employee + 2.58 gal per shift per employee = 7.0 gal per shift per employee
(7.0 gpd)

Where:
Toilet Use = Toilet and sink are considered one fixture at 2 gal/use
Urinal Use = Low flow urinal and sink are considered one fixture at 1.75 gal/use
