FLINN
DEPUTY DIRECTOR
MANUELLOPEZ
DEPUTY DIRECTOR
On October 27, 1994, Solid Waste Division staff monitored for
landfill gas migration in accordance with previously submitted
monitoring plans for the North County, Foothill, and Corral
Hollow Sanitary Landfills. The equipment used was a Gas Tech
Landfill Monitor equipped with parts per million (ppm), Lower
Explosive Limit (5%), and 100% gas scales. The 5% gas scale did
not detect any gas, so the ppm scale was used for monitoring.
The instrument was calibrated with a 2.5% methane mixture and was
warmed up for approximately ten minutes prior to monitoring.
The results from the second monitoring event are shown'on the
attached maps for each site. The readings for all holes and
structures are shown adjacent to their locations on the maps.
If you have any questions, please call me at Extension 83066.
GK: WJ:vj
R:\VIRGINIA\MEMOS\GASMON.EP3
Attachments
LA 63229
LA 21303
LA 31209
