Hill <br />January 9, 1995 <br />Re: Request for agency input for proposed waste quantity increase and recycling <br />project at Foothill Sanitary Landfill, Waverly Rd., Linden, California. <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (EHD) has received the draft <br />project description for proposed waste:, quantity increase and recycling project at <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill (FSL), Waverly Rd., Linden, California. EHD concerns at this <br />time are as follows: <br />-Adequate worker safety training for the recycling project must be conducted. <br />-Adequate measures for dust, traffic, and noise control, must be taken. <br />The California Code of Regulation, Title 14, and all applicable state, federal, and local <br />requirements and enactments must be complied with. This would include all <br />mitigation measures given in any certified environmental document filed pursuant to <br />Public Resources Code, Section 21031.6. EHD will await San Joaquin County Dept. <br />of Public Works initial study, mitigation measures, and proposed negative declaration <br />for FSL; further review and response will take place when these documents are <br />received. <br />Please contact Carol Oz, Senior R.E.H.S. of my staff at 468-3440 if you have any <br />questions. <br />Ernest M.
