HIRATA January 25, 1995 SUBJECT: CEQA NEGATIVE DECLARATION, PROJECT NUMBER 95-01ND-75100 Pursuant to the State of California Public Resources Code and the "Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970," as amended to date, a Draft Negative Declaration is hereby made on the project listed below: San Joaquin County, as owner of the Foothill Sanitary Landfill, 6484 North Waverly Road, Linden, California, is making application for a revision to its Solid Waste Facilities Permit No. 39 -AA -0004. The purpose of the revision is to accommodate waste diverted from the April 1995 closure of the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill and to authorize recycling at Foothill Sanitary Landfill to divert reusaLle maLerials as required by State of California mandate. The reason for the determination that a Negative Declaration is appropriate: The Department of Public Works found that there is no substantial evidence that there will be significant adverse environmental impacts associated with this project. Attached is the Initial Study prepared for the project.
