The LFG well will be connected to the existing LFG header through pipes
installed on the surface in the landfill (Figures 2 and 3). Each well will be
provided with an adjustment valve and a sampling port.
A boring log will be compiled during the drilling of the well.
Safety
Cal OSHA safety standards will be followed during the drilling process.
Personnel working near the construction area will be required to wear hard hats,
safety glasses and safety vests. All personnel will be advised to avoid contact
with refuse when possible.
Schedule
Construction will require access to be provided for the drill rig, including
relocating stormwater down drains. Installation of the well may start
approximately 45 days after approval of this Plan.
An Authority to Construct may be required by the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air
Pollution Control District. If so, review and granting this Authority may require 60
days.
It is anticipated that the well will be drilled one day, and the casing and other
materials installed the next day.
N:\1 Foothill\GX-10 June 07\RemedGX-10 5-18-07.doc
Remediation Plan - LFG Well Installation Solid Waste/Public Works
Foothill Sanitary Landfill Page 3 of 3 San Joaquin County — May 24, 2007
