Provide a statement to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department that the correction is complete. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -A black steel 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste liquids was observed behind the facility with an unsecured and <br /> partially opened lid. <br /> -A black steel 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste pipes and solids was observed behind the facility with an <br /> unsecured lid resting on top. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d)Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days(90 days acute/extremely). <br /> OBSERVATION: The following hazardous waste containers were found on-site with an accumulation start date of <br /> greater than 180 days or no accumulation start date: <br /> -A black steel 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste liquids was observed behind the facility with a hazardous waste <br /> label dated 02/7/2020 <br /> -A black steel 55 gallon drum of hazardous waste pipes and solids was observed behind the facility with no <br /> hazardous waste label. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66262.34. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of the hazardous waste stored on site greater than 180 days in <br /> compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations.
