I finally got in contact with someone from the Planning Department for
Mountain House. Below you will find the response that was provided:
Pursuant to Development Title Section 9-839.5M(a), the only
types of Home Occupation licenses permitted in Mountain
House are the ones subject to the Staff Review procedure. The
Development Title Section 9-839.5(a)(4) states that pedestrian
and vehicular traffic is limited to that normally associated with
residential districts. Therefore, Home Occupation licenses shall
not have any customers coming to the residence. The client
inquiring with EHD shall find a commercial location to operate
their proposed business.
Unfortunately, you cannot operate a body art business from your home
and if you would like to continue offering your services then you will
have to find a different location. Your options are either to open your
own body art business or rent from an established facility.
If you have any questions for the Planning Department (Mountain
House) then you can directly email them at
mountainhouseplanning@sjgov.org.
Please let me know what you decide to do, so that I can abate the
complaint.
Best Regards,
Sandip Singh
Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
