Undine Road <br /> Stockton, CA 95206 <br /> RE: BACTERIOLOGICAL QUALITY FAILURE Coliform 16 <br /> This letter is to inform you that your water system failed to meet the quality standard from <br /> a water sample taken on 5-6-85 <br /> Article 7, Section 64463 (a) (1 ) (C), of Chapter 15, Title 22, California Administrative Code, <br /> requires public notification if a water system exceeds the quality limit. You are therefore <br /> required to provide public notification in accordance with the provisions of Title 22. <br /> This is to be accomplished immediately upon receipt of this letter. <br /> The notice shall be in writing and mailed to each water consumer. In addition to this written <br /> notification, you may wish to contact your consumers directly or by telephone. Where <br /> provided for public use, disconnect drinking fountains and post lavatories "DO NOT DRINK THE <br /> WATER". <br /> A notification sample letter that you may wish to use is attached. If you wish to make <br /> changes in the notification as shown, call our Stockton Office to discuss your suggestions. <br /> Please send us copies of your notification mailings with dates of notification. <br /> You are to notify this District within ten (10) days from the date of this letter concerning <br /> your action to abate this violation. An alternative you may consider for abating this <br /> violation is as follows: <br /> The water well and distribution system should be thoroughly disinfected with <br /> household bleach and two consecutive satisfactory water samples obtained before <br /> drinking.
