However, the <br /> general trend for wells at the site is for continuously falling water levels. This is due to the <br /> historical and well publicized over pumping by agricultural and municipal interests in the <br /> Central Valley. Monitoring well MW-I was replaced by well MW-IA in 2013 due to falling <br /> water levels.
