0 <br /> inspection Report Comments: <br /> Routine monthly inspection done on this date and the following was noted: <br /> 1. Previous area of concern regarding daylighting at the active face has been corrected. No daylighting was observed. <br /> 2. Previous area of concern regarding the manual tarps not covering all of the waste on the active face has been <br /> corrected. The tarps were observed to cover all of the waste. <br /> 3. Previous area of concern regarding the overflowing leachate in the leachate tank has been corrected. The tank was <br /> empty(alarm was off)and the leachate was cleaned up. <br /> 4. Previous area of concern regarding the leaking leachate line on the east side of the landfill has been corrected. The <br /> line was removed and no further evidence of exposed leachate was observed. <br /> 5. Previous area of concern regarding the leaking water line on the west side of Module"I" has been corrected. The line <br /> was removed and the connecting valve was capped off. Also the surrounding thick vegetation was uprooted. <br /> 6. A litter fence was observed around the active face. However windblown litter was observed east of the active face. <br /> Facility must continue to utilize litter control measures. <br /> 7. There were a significant amount of birds on site. Employees were observed using "bird bombs"to scare the birds <br /> away from the active face. <br /> 8. Gas monitoring was conducted with two perimeter gas wells and the following was recorded: <br /> SG-121: (S)0.0% CH4-0.1% CO2-22.1% 02-77.8% BAL <br /> (1) 0.0% CH4-0.4% CO2-21.5% 02-78.1% BAL <br /> (D) 0.0% CH4-0.2% CO2-21.7% 02-78.1% BAL <br /> SG-122: (S)0.0% CH4-0.6% CO2-21.0% 02-78.4% BAL <br /> (1) 0.0% CH4-0.5% CO2-21.1% 02-78.4% BAL <br /> (D) 0.0% CH4-0.5% CO2-20.6% 02-78.9% BAL <br /> 9. Employees were observed wearing personal protective safety equipment. <br /> 10. All records were available for review. <br /> CalRecycle Solid Waste Information System(SWIS) 2 of 2 <br />
