Do you need me to revise the previously submitted report to reflect the revised
nitrate loading scenario or is my previous e-mail sufficient? I want to make sure we are not the cause of delay for our
client obtaining the septic system permit.
Thank you,
Stefanie Parman-Ribeiro
President
(209) 602-6569 Mobile
mgcq
BAEZ GEOTECHNICAL GROUP
From: Gooderham, Aaron [EHD] <agooderham@sjgov.org>
Sent: Monday, January 31, 2022 1:15 PM
To: Stefanie Parman <smp@baezgeotechnicalgroup.com>
Subject: RE: 285 Austin road
Received, and good question: because this long term nitrate loading is so high we will require an advanced treatment
unit (ATU) that treats nitrate/nitrogen in the waste water or reduces nitrate/nitrogen in the septic tank. In this case a
septic tank meeting NSF 240 would satisfy this requirement. You can find a list of ATU that meet this standard on NSF
website.
Additionally this will require an annual permit to operate and quarterly sampling of the influent/effluent, and annual
well water sampling.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Aaron Gooderham — REHS
Environmental Health Department — County of San Joaquin
Website: https://www.s*gov.org/department/envhealth/
Main Line: (209) 468-3420
From: Stefanie Parman <smotecFinicalQroup.co-m->
Sent: Monday, January 31, 2022 11:33 AM
1
