EXTINGUISHING MEDIA <br />Dry chemical, carbon dioxide, Halon foam. <br />SPEICIAL HAZARDS <br />None <br />SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE-FIGHTERS <br />First responders should wear eye protection. Structural fire-fighters must wear MSHAINIOSH approved <br />SCBA and full protective equipment. Use a water spray or fog to reduce vapors. Water may not be <br />effective in extinguishing a fire involving this product. <br />SECTION 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES <br />PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS <br />Household: Absorb with inert material and place in a appropriate waste disposal <br />Industrial: Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Remove all sources of ignition. Absorb with an <br />inert material and put the spilled material in an appropriate waste disposal. Finish cleaning by spreading <br />water on the contaminated surface and allow to evacuate through the sanitary system <br />ADVISE FOR EMERGENCYRESPONDERS <br />Use personal protective equipment. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS <br />Household: Do not place spilled product in any drain or water system that can go into the environment. <br />Industrial: Should not be released into the environment. <br />METHODS OF SPILL CONTAINMENTAND CLEAN-UP <br />Highway or railway spills call chemtrec (800) 424-9600 cont. U.S. Collect (20 2) 483-7616 from Alaska <br />and Hawaii. <br />Stay upwind and away from spill. Keep all sources of ignition and hot metal surfaces away from spill. <br />Keep out of drains, sewers, or waterways. Use sand or other inert material to dam and contain spill. Do <br />not flush with water; use absorbent pads. For large spills call response team and notify appropriate <br />state/local agencies.
