Although the RF Unit will identify most hazardous wastes for you, there may be an instance
where an unsaleable item will not scan. These items have keywords on the label that help
you to determine whether or not they may be hazardous. If the product label indicates the
product has certain characteristics or contains certain ingredients, the product, if a waste
item, must be managed as a hazardous waste. The CVS Environmental Hotline may be
called at 1.888-412-0287 and used as an additional reference to determine if an item is
hazarA
ous or not.
Remember!
