Examples of Pharmacy items or materials that must be managed as hazardous waste <br />when disposed include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />Non -returnable, non -saleable pharmaceuticals <br />Pharmaceuticals <br />Stock bottles and amber prescription vials that once contained <br />pharmaceuticals in the Warfarin family (e.g. Coumadin, Jantoven, <br />Empty Closed Panwarfarin, Lonamin) <br />Containers <br />Gloves, paper towels, etc, contaminated with pharmaceuticals (no blood <br />borne waste) <br />Spill Cleanup <br />Materials <br />Materials used to clean equipment and utensils that are contaminated with <br />pharmaceuticals such as: <br />• Alcohol wipes, paper towels, etc. <br />Cleaning .
