PA -2100140 <br />Our office was contacted by Mr. Kevin Huber to conduct a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study <br />(SSNLS) for the property located at 15314 North Thornton Road, Lodi, California, San Joaquin <br />County (SJC). The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree <br />possible, San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Department (EHD) Soil Suitability Study <br />Requirements Checklist, dated September 25, 2007 and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements <br />Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br />1.0 SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br />1.1 Introduction and Development <br />The Soil Suitability Study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether site soils are suitable for <br />septic system usage. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9- <br />110.05.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br />included conducting percolation tests that meet absorption rates as specified by EHD. A review <br />of published soil information, geologic maps, and groundwater information was also performed. <br />1.1.1 Site Description <br />The site is an approximately 4.96 -acre portion of a tract of vacant land located in Lodi, California, <br />San Joaquin County. <br />Add ress <br />15314 North Thornton Road <br />Assessor Parcel Number <br />(APN) <br />025-19-031 <br />Acreage <br />According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer the site is zoned General Agriculture (AG - <br />40). Based on a review of the San Joaquin County Community Development Department website, <br />the AG -40 zoning designation is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br />commercial agriculture enterprises. <br />According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Thornton (1/1/1978), Lodi North <br />(1/1/1976), Terminous, (1/1/1997) and Lodi South (1/1/1976) California Quadrangles, the <br />elevation of the site is between approximately 5 to 10 feet above mean sea level with a <br />topographic gradient generally sloping towards the west. <br />Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3 <br />
