' STATE OF CALIFORNIA—RESOURCES AGENCY RONALD REAGAN, Go,=mcr
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD-
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION ''
3251 S STREET
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA 95816
PHONE: (916) 445-0270
9 March 1973
Mr. J. Don Layson
San Joaquin Local Health District
Post Office Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Dear Don:
We have been contacted by Mike Mensinger of Schmid Develop-
ment, Inc. , regarding construction of a 285 unit subdivision
on Hammer Lane at Highway 99.
Mr. Mensinger and his consulting engineer have indicated to
us that sewage treatment and disposal is to be handled by
a package extended aeration treatment plant- and a series of
dry wells. We have received a soil analysis and percolation
study report from I.Sr. Messinger indicating that the pro-
posed method of effluent disposal is feasible at this site.
Although we have not received specific details related to
plant design and operation, we believe that the proposed
system will handle adequately the wastewater generated by
the development. We plan to proceed with formulation of
tentative waste discharge requirements, which we will for-
ward to you for review in the near future.
Sincerely,
Original signed by
James A.
