Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: <br />Time Out: <br /> <br />COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Name of Facility: WEST VALLEY AUTO SERVICES, LLC Date: 11/03/2021 <br />Address: 2615W GRANT LINE RD, TRACY <br />Owner/Operator: WEST VALLEY AUTO SERVICES LLC Telephone: <br />Program Element: 2546- RELEASE/SPILL RESPONSE (EXCLUDING JOINT TEAM) Complaint #: COKA9HDXM <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />Complainant reported diesel fuel leaked on the ground and got on their sweater while they fueled their vehicle with diesel <br />fuel at dispenser 2. Complainant stated they reported the leakage to gas station staff. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />Site visit on 11/3/2021 in response to complaint received for diesel leakage at dispenser 2 which was reported to get on <br />complainants sweater and concrete. On site met with manager, Hakimi Wais who walked with Kristina Saetern and Ito <br />dispenser 2. The hose at dispenser 2 was observed to be leaking. Diesel fuel was observed on the hose leaking from the <br />breakaway nozzle and dripping down onto the concrete. An active drip was seen from the bottom of the hose onto the <br />concrete. A small amount of diesel was observed on the concrete approximately less than 1 cup. Staining was observed <br />around dispenser 2. Upon observing the leak, Hakimi and facility staff changed the breakaway nozzle, hose and hand pump. <br />Dispenser 2 was authorized for diesel to test the newly replaced parts for leakage. None was observed. The diesel around the <br />dispenser was cleaned with absorbent sand. The absorbent sand was placed back into their absorbent sand container for <br />reuse. The replaced nozzle, hose and handpump will be picked up by Northwest Pump for repair and reuse. Manager asked <br />facility staff if anyone reported leakage at dispenser 2 to them, none of the staff recall receiving any reports of leakage. <br />Inspection report emailed to Hakimi Wais <wnygls@yahoo.com> Vikas Patel <vikcpatel@gmail.com> on 11/4/2021. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
