MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: James A. Robertson <br /> FROM: Steven C. Macaulay <br /> SUBJECT: Requirements Checking - Lathrop Park Homes and <br /> Lathrop Village Homes, Unit No. 3 <br /> On 1 March 1973 , I visited the subject wastewater treatment <br /> facilities to ascertain compliance with waste discharge re- <br /> quirements. I was accompanied by Al Olson of the San Joaquin <br /> Local Health District. <br /> This facility consists of a large aeration pond and three <br /> evaporation/percolation ponds. The aeration pond has two sur- <br /> face aerators which operate intermittently (approximately once <br /> per day) . The other ponds are presently not being utilized, <br /> since the aeration pond is capable of handling all wastewater <br /> at the present stage of development. These ponds are not being <br /> maintained, and are quite overgrown with vegetation. This will <br /> severely limit their effectiveness should these ponds be used <br /> in the future. , <br /> Al Olson indicated that the Health District has received no <br /> complaints related to odors from this facility. The ponds <br /> are somewhat isolated, although the aeration pond is 300 feet <br /> away from several houses. <br /> My inspection indicates that this facility is currently in <br /> compliance with the Board' s requirements. <br /> 3/29/73 scm/ca <br /> cc: H.
