Groundwater flow direction locally <br />appears to be to the north-northeast. Groundwater was not encountered in the 42-inch- <br />deep percolation test hole advanced on 14 January 2021. <br /> <br /> <br />4.2. GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION IN THE AREA OF THE SITE <br /> <br />The immediately adjacent and outlying land use for the parcel is agricultural and <br />residential, and the adjacent property to the west and south is developed with the <br />Collegeville Elementary School. Potential groundwater contamination can occur from <br />several sources including leaking underground storage tanks, septic systems, agricultural <br />activities, dairies, and stormwater infiltration. <br /> <br />A review of the California Department of Toxics and Substance Control (DTSC) <br />EnviroStor Database and the Geotracker Web site revealed one (1) leaking underground <br />storage tank (LUST) site within a 0.5-mile of the subject property. However, the LUST site <br />has been closed for over 15 years. Based on the status of the LUST and the distance and <br />direction from the subject property, the LUST should not impact the subject property. The <br />review did not reveal any other sites of environmental concern within a half-mile radius of <br />the site. <br /> <br /> <br />4.3. ON-SITE EXISTING WELL DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />Liquid waste septic permits dating back to October 1963 indicate a domestic water well <br />located on the property. There are four well permits on file with EHD for the subject <br />property for well pump replacement dated October 1979, July 1982, August 1988, and <br />July 1998 (Appendix B). There are no additional records on file at EHD or the Department <br />of Water Resources with well construction or installation information. The onsite domestic <br />water well will provide potable water to the planned development. <br /> <br />The onsite water well was not sampled during this Study because there is currently no <br />power to the site or well <br /> <br /> <br />5.0. SOIL PROFILE <br /> <br />An OWTS Permit was issued for the property by the EHD on 31 December 2020 to <br />perform a percolation test (Appendix C). On 14 January 2020, a 4-inch diameter hand <br />auger was utilized to advance a percolation test hole to 42 inches bsg, in the proposed <br />septic system disposal field area. <br /> <br />A plan of the specific site features including the percolation test hole locations <br />(i.e., structures, drives, wells, septic systems, large trees, pastures, pools, natural <br />drainage courses, ponds, waterways, etc.) is illustrated in Figure 2.
