The Transfer Station Special Occurrences Log is to be completed and filed by the Scale
house operator daily. The following are examples of occurrences that should be noted in
the log:
a. Any event that differs from the normal day-to-day operation of the facility.
b. Any fire, power outage, accident, injury or other notable happening.
c. Any hazardous or non -permitted materials discovered or turned away. If a
customer is turned away, the appropriate information is to be recorded at the
bottom of the form.
d. Unusual or non -seasonal weather (i.e., heavy rain, extreme heat, high wind).
e. Early or late plant opening or closing.
£ Tours or special events (i.e., County Ag event, CRRC meeting)
This list is by no means all inclusive. The idea is to record anything that is out of the
ordinary.
2. Entries are to be made at the time of the occurrence. Events that have occurred outside
of operating hours may be recorded the following day.
3. Weather conditions are to be noted during normal operating hours. If the conditions are
representative of what is normal for the time of year, checking the "Seasonal" box is
sufficient. If conditions out of the norm exist, the "Other" box should be checked and
the condition described (i.e., rain in July, 80 mph wind in January, etc.).
4. The Scale Operator is to sign the log at the end of the day.
5. Monday through Friday, the Scale Operator is to file the log in the Daily Station Log
book located in the main office reception area when the "till" is turned in. On Saturdays
or office holidays, the log is to be turned in with the "till" and filed the following
workday.
6. Management will verify that the log from the previous day has been properly filed. In
the event the log has not been file, the deficiency will be corrected by end of day.
7. The Daily Station Log book will be available for inspection by authorized governmental
agencies at all times.
