W. DAVE OLMSTEAD
BROKER-DEVELOPER
19-E.GTn ST
TRACY, CALIF.93328
[209]630-0422
June 27, 1979
Mr. and Mrs. John Freitas
4348 W. Grant Line Road
Tracy, California 95376
Re: Stoneridge Lot #6
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Freitas:
I have discussed your septic and leach field system exten-
sively with the building contractor, Jim Most. He has advised
me of the following:
1. The complete installation was initially installed
to County specifications and inspected by the
County.
2. Subsequently you or your agent lowered the eleva-
tion of the ground over the leach field area with
heavy equipment both factors probably crushing the
system.
3. Contractor, under County supervision, attempted to
repair malfunction there-upon discovering owners
activities relating to failure of system.
Considering the above circumstances the contractor feels
that the failure is due to owners negligence and is not inclined
to suffer any more expense in this matter. It is ur understand-
ing that the contractor intends to bill you for repair work
owing to his discovery of the circumstances.
The dirt removed from your rear yard was used to fill in
your engineered drain pond in the front of your residence. As
you know the County is holding. up this project on that account
causing us substantial undue expense.
Si erely,
W. Dave Olmstead
WDO:vh
CC: Jim Most, Steve_ Ormonde, Guy Burns
