Violation Title 14 CCR 17409.5 - Load Checking - Observed buried wood waste and metals possibly containing <br />hazardous waste were not separated at the Construction & Demolition (C&D) Debris Processing Area. <br />Operator indicated that only at the end of each working day checking and processing occur in C&D <br />area. Continuation of Violation from the previous month. <br />a. Provide additional training to raise level of screening and handling of designated/ hazardous wastes. <br />b. Need to more thoroughly check for and remove all designated/hazardous wastes in waste piles. <br />c. Provide adequate load checking, storage and processing of construction & demolition debris. <br />2. AC Title 14 CCR 17408.7 - Personnel Health and Safety - Observed one truck driver not wearing safety vest when <br />he was out of his vehicle at the -disposal area. <br />a. Ensure that all personnel working at disposal area wear adequate safety equipment. <br />3. AC Title 14 CCR 17414 - Record Keeping Special occurrences logs were not fully completed and updated. <br />a. Keep allrecordsup todate andmakethem available--for-inspection. <br />Notes: <br />A. The facility is continuing to install a new recycling line; a site improvement discussed in the Report of <br />Facility Information amendment #3 that was approved on November 6, 2006. <br />B. Dust level was low at -time -of inspection- (previous AC cleared).- <br />C. <br />leared).C. Observed all containers labeled with the starting day of collection of waste oil in Used Oil Recycling <br />Area. All containers were capped. All mercury switches were removed from the refrigeration unit at the <br />Appliance Recycling Area (previous violation cleared): - <br />
