The purpose of this letter to provide a response to San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department letter dated March 12, 2010, regarding noise and odor.
Please find enclosed a copy of the revised Odor Impact Minimization Plan and Supplemental
Noise Study for an advanced review by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department to determine whether these studies fulfill the intent of their comments.
California Code of Regulations (14CCR) Title 14, Section 17863.4 (effective on April 4, 2003)
requires an Odor Impact Minimization Plan (OIMP) for all compostable material handling
operations and facilities to be submitted to the County Local Enforcement Agency.
