CalRecycle staff have reviewed the MND and offer the <br /> following comments. <br /> CalRecycle staff would like to offer further assistance to the lead agency by offering CalRecycle <br /> permitting and technical staff to be made available for any meetings regarding the planning, <br /> development and permitting of the proposed TMRTS facility expansion. <br /> PROPOSED PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The proposed project is in response to the application for a Use Permit(Use Permit application <br /> No. PA-0900005)by Tracy Material Recovery, Inc. The proposal is for the expansion of an <br /> existing solid waste processing and recycling facility from 39.2 acres to 51.7 acres in two phases <br /> over twenty years with a maximum of 1,727 vehicles per day(vpd) at final build-out. Phase lis <br /> to increase the daily waste capacity from 1,000 tons per day (tpd)to 1,800 tpd within 10 years <br /> and Phase 2 is to increase the daily waste capacity from 1,800 tpd to 2,500 tpd within twenty <br /> years. The proposal is also to increase the hours of operation 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, seven days <br /> per week,to 24 hours per day, seven(7) days a week. All outdoor processing activities will not <br /> begin before 6:00 a.m. and will not operate after 10:00 p.m. on site activities to include vehicle <br /> maintenance, equipment storage and truck parking, construction and demolition of inert debris, <br /> processing of wood waste grindings, appliance recycling, and associated waste handling <br /> activities.
